Answer: YES, for this reason, the care has a minimum of a 2.0 gpa. we take many factors into consisderation when determining your candidacy for the scholarship. dedication to leadership, community, your letter of recommendation, the quality of your personal essay or monologue, if you’re a first generation college student, and other strengths are taken into account in the decision making process.

Question: HOW DO I MAXIMIZE MY CHANCES OF RECEIVING THIS SCHOLARSHIP?
Answer:
  • start your application early and complete it on time. the earlier you start the application, the better chance you have to submit the application before the deadline. you also have more time to ask questions in case any part of the process needs clarification.
  • Tell us about yourself and use specific details when sharing your extracurricular activities. we do not know anything about you until you share it with us. specific details can help us understand how great you are. The same can be said about your personal essay or monologue. we don’t expect the essay or monologue to be longer than the 300 word requirement, however, make sure it answers the question, why getting this care scholarship is important to you?
  • Review your application for grammar and spelling errors. If your question has not been answered above, please direct your inquiry to: infos@care4sf.org or should i just have a link to click on here for question inquiries???

Our mission is to inspire, empower, and support post-secondary bound students who demonstrate resilience in the midst of adversity, who reflect dedication to leadership and community, and who would not ordinarily qualify for a scholarship due to not having A’s and B’s.
